The design for the new Zolli administration wing atop the existing operations building by Flubacher Nyfeler Partner Architekten won the second prize. It sits at the intersection of urban space and the zoo’s park, with a subtle urban façade and a connection to the zoo through its cantilevered form. Inspired by Indonesian treehouses, the structure features a solid base with a light wooden "treehouse" above, offering a unique identity while blending with the surrounding environment. Balconies and overhangs enhance comfort and energy efficiency.
