Health and Safety Center of the Samaritan Association I Pichler Traupmann Architekten

Architects

Pichler Traupmann Architekten

Location

Seestadt Aspern, Vienna

The Health and Safety Center of the Samaritan Association, designed by Pichler Traupmann Architekten, is a highly functional operations hub that integrates efficiency, sustainability, and biophilic design. Organized around a compact core warehouse, the facility features a triangular head building and a slender wing along Seestadtstrasse. Geothermal energy and a green façade enhance climate resilience, while planted façade strips reduce solar heat gain and contribute to urban biodiversity. A helicopter landing pad and carefully planned logistical flow ensure seamless emergency response, making the project a climate-conscious and highly efficient operations center inspired by the nearby Danube riparian forests.
