The "Biwak - Shelter in the Glacier," designed by NOA Architecture and Interior Design Studio, is a unique refuge located at 3,013 meters above sea level on the Schnalstal Glacier in Italy. The structure seamlessly integrates into the rugged mountain landscape, with its facade and roof covered in local rocks to blend with the natural surroundings. The interior features a central fireplace and seating areas that offer breathtaking views of the nearby peaks. Built using prefabricated materials for ease of construction in the harsh alpine environment, the shelter is powered by a geothermal heating system, ensuring comfort for hikers and adventurers seeking a safe, tranquil spot in the high mountains.
