The non-governmental charity fund “Babyn Yar Holocaust Memorial Center” designed by Querkraft Architekten aims to create a documentation, commemoration, and learning center in Kyiv, dedicated to the 1941-1943 Babyn Yar massacre, where 33,771 Jews were murdered.

The design redefines the site’s meaning, guiding visitors from the present into the dark past and then into a hopeful, bright space for the future. The non-linear layout connects past, present, and future, offering both a message of hope and a warning.
