Location

Frankfurt

The Goethe University Campus in Frankfurt, designed by Schenker Salvi Weber Architekten, is a refined and functional home for science, where clarity and flexibility define the architectural approach. Two interlocking four-story volumes adapt to the site's elevation, shaping a new, welcoming public square. At its heart, a bright central atrium serves as the primary circulation hub, ensuring seamless horizontal and vertical access to all spaces. The building’s rational 1.30-meter office grid allows for maximum adaptability, supporting diverse academic needs. Its facade, both structured and understated, is characterized by rhythmic ventilation wings with curved metal slats, subtly animating the exterior. Inside, a circular access route unifies the spaces, with two interconnected rings converging at a central "meet and greet" zone, fostering interaction and exchange within this contemporary academic environment.
